June 30, 2010 – Boonton, New Jersey – Baked Lentil Chips are one of the hottest, healthiest snacks on the market, as Trendspotters recognized when they named them in their list of the Top Five Food Trends from the Summer Fancy Food Show.
It’s no accident that Baked Lentil Chips have become a top trend. Mediterranean Snack Foods launched Baked Lentil Chips because consumers are searching for new, healthy snack options that pack balanced nutritional value without skimping on taste.
“We’ve seen the truest confirmation of this in the overwhelming demand for our product,” said Vincent James, President of Mediterranean Snack Foods. The recent surge in retailer and consumer demand is the beginning of a bright future for Baked Lentil Chips.
“Being on trend when it comes to product development is the key to success, so this recognition is a great confirmation for us. More importantly, it tells our retailers that Baked Lentil Chips are a product their customers will love,” said Vincent.
Baked Lentil Chips are distributed in over 1,000 retailers across the country, according to Steve Myers, VP of Retail Sales, “Demand is definitely a sign of success in this business and we have been working hard to increase our capacity to meet an ever growing demand from new and existing retailers.”

I received your lentil chips in a gift basket and they are delish! A treat that’s healthy ~ how wonderful to find a snack I can feel good about sharing with my granddaughter. Sadly, I haven’t yet been able to find them at my local shops so I hope to win your giveaway! Thank you!
A friend brought over a bag of your cucumber dill baked lentil chips and offered them to me. the packaging claims they are vegan and celiac friendly. I am vegan and have a wheat gluten sensitivity so I read every label. I was very disturbed to find that there was all kinds of animal/dairy ingredients in what your bag says is a vegan item. It seems your company doesn’t know the difference between vegan and vegetarian. As I said I read every label, but my family and friends, who often are buying food items for me would see the claims and not think to read the ingredients. You need to correct your packaging or better yet eliminate the animal ingredients from your product.
Hi Susan,
Our Cucumber Dill Baked Lentil Chips were not supposed to have the Vegan Friendly designation on them, but it slipped past our proof readers. Two of our three Baked Lentil Chips flavors are vegan friendly – Sea Salt and Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper, but the Cucumber Dill does contain dairy. The Cucumber Dill bags have already been corrected, and you should see them with new labels on the shelf in the near future.
Thank you for your comment!
